TreeKeepers
The Baltimore TreeKeepers is a free city-wide tree stewardship program open to anyone interested in Baltimore’s trees. TreeKeepers promote healthy trees by educating residents and increasing their role in the care of the City’s trees. Through this training, residents can become tree advocates and share the responsibility to plant and care for trees in their neighborhood and throughout the City.
To become certified as a TreeKeeper (Tree Planting Leader) you must take TK101, 102, 201 Pt 1 Virtual, and one of 201 Pt 2 in-person sessions followed by 2 volunteer tree planting events hosted by one of our amazing partners!
To become certified as a TreeKeeper (Tree Pruning Leader) you must take TK101, 102, 202 Pt 1 Virtual, and one of the 202 Pt 2 in-person sessions followed by 2 volunteer tree pruning events hosted by one of our amazing partners!
You do not have to complete all the classes in one series.
We will continue to be offered mostly online, with only one partial session in-person each for planting and pruning. Spaces will be limited for the in-person session for both the safety of participants and staff.
