Tulip tree- Liriodendron tulipifera

Maryland's tallest tree, and Baltimore City's official tree. Not a true poplar. Therefore the preferred name is tulip tree. Local beekeepers count on its nectar for honey. Find a newly planted, low-branching tulip tree in a park, and reward yourself with a sweet sip of nectar from its large, showy creamy yellow and orange blossoms. Popular nesting tree for Orioles. Very fast-growing native species.

This is a small plant in a 3"x3"x9" size pot.
