As Maryland winters become milder and growing seasons change, this Oak species whose native range is further south has a high migration and planting potential. It is a bottomland species, so we know it will tolerate Maryland's increasing annual rainfall. An excellent replacement for white oak, pin oak, and even swamp white oak.
