Height: 20-35’ | Spread: 20-35’  | Light: Shade to full sun | Moist soil| Fruit: Edible, fragrant yellow berry, Aug-Sep Fun Facts: Pawpaw is known as the ‘forgotten fruit,’ it is the largest edible native fruit found in the US, and the only temperate member of a tropical family. Fruit is yellowish-green with a creamy inside that can be eaten raw or booked- blended in smoothies, used in ice creams or baked in pies. Harvest in early fall when fruit is just-soft (they may already have fallen to the ground) Flowers attract birds and bees, fruit supports wide variety of wildlife.
