Become a Baltimore TreeKeeper!

The Baltimore TreeKeepers is a city-wide tree stewardship program open to anyone interested in Baltimore’s trees. TreeKeepers promote healthy trees by educating residents and increasing their role in the care of the City’s trees. Through this training, citizens can become tree advocates and share the responsibility to plant and care for trees in their neighborhood and throughout the City.

Due to COVID-19, the pruning requirement for certification will be offered as a two-part event. The virtual lecture is from 6:30-8:30pm on Wednesday January 20th. This is paired with an in-person, hands-on learning experience pruning trees in the field. With limited number of spaces available, two workshops will take place on Saturday January 23rd. For full requirements to be completed for pruning certification, the participant will have taken both 100 level courses, the 202 virtual, 202 hands-on, and two additional volunteer pruning events. Those events will be listed on the TreeBaltimore calendar.
