Street Tree Request Form

TreeBaltimore provides free trees for planting projects on BCRP parkland, in the public right-of-way, or hosting tree adoption events! Tree sizes depend on location but can range from 18" to 10' tall.

City residents and non-profit organizations can order trees and we recommend certified TreeKeepers or ISA certified arborists be involved in the planning and supervision of the planting process. More info on the TreeKeepers program here.

Receiving trees includes a commitment to water and maintain the trees for 2 years. At that time BCRP Forestry will take on any maintenance the tree requires.

Not interested in planting and maintaining trees but just want to suggest a location that needs trees? BCRP has a contractor that can plant and maintain trees.

We will notify you individually when your trees arrive. Spring trees typically arrive by April 15. Fall trees typically arrive by September 15.

You can request delivery or pick up at the Druid Hill Nursery. Species may be substituted based on availability.

We can also provide stakes, ties, deer protection, and mulch upon request.

For street and park tree orders, fill out the form linked above and email a copy to treebaltimore@baltimorecity.gov.

Orders may be submitted year-round. Spring tree orders must be received by January 15 and fall tree orders must be received by June 15.

Approved street and park planting permits will be provided by March 1 and August 1.

Want to be a host site for a yard tree adoption? Email treebaltimore@baltimorecity.gov by Jan 15/June 15 to express your interest and we will reach out to you.

Street tree proposals must include addresses for each tree ordered. Approval will be based on potential conflict with existing utilities and infrastructure, and community feedback. Species preferences are optional, but orders without locations will not be fulfilled.

Park planting proposals must be evaluated by BCRP division representatives. Approval will be based on species and site selection, potential conflict with existing and planned park infrastructure, and community feedback.
