The Beach plum, Prunus maritima is used for both ornamental and culinary purposes. The plant is salt-tolerant and cold-hardy. It prefers the full sun and well-drained soil. The white flowers emerge in April-May and the fruits can be eaten fresh or processed as preserves, jellies, jam, and wine.

Remember, only PawPaws, Persimmons, and Mixed Oaks allow more than one per household. All other tree varieties are available one each, with a total of three different types per household. If you placed an order that does not follow these guidelines, you will still be able to pickup at least one tree. Example #1: You ordered two Redbuds and one Sweetgum; we provide only one Redbud and one Sweetgum. Example #2: You ordered two PawPaws and one Red Maple, you will receive your exact order.
I agree to plant this tree in Baltimore City on my property/with permission from property owner within two weeks of the giveaway date.
